Additive Manufacturing Diffusion Bonding method for building complex structures even from different materials
Bonding of metallic and/or metal-ceramic layer stacks:
– in a vacuum
– with mechanical pressure greater than 10N/mm2
– at 60-90% of the melting temperature
Atoms exchange places at the layer boundaries and a homogeneous, invisible and indissoluble bond is formed with the properties of the base material.
Application:
Pre-machined layers create defined cavities or internal hollow structures, e.g. for tool and dye.
